Meet the Team

Elvis, who serves as the pastor at Every Nation Lisboa, was born and raised in the South of Brazil. At the age of 24 he got to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The first couple of years of his new life, he preached the Gospel through theater presentations. His big dream was to GO to the nations and preach the Gospel. 

Joyce is a Belgian who was raised in church and from childhood had a passion to preach the Gospel. In her teen years, she served the church as a leader for the teens and service translator. 

They met in an unusual way - a story for another time- It was clear that God had joined them with a strong call on their lives. In pursuit of God’s will for them as a couple they went on a cross cultural mission and ended up back in Belgium. There, they served Every Nation Gent as the kids' pastors and raised a leader to take their place. During this time they felt a burden for the Portuguese speaking nations and fell in love with Lisbon. Their call to plant a church in Lisbon came much like a 'Macedonian call'. 

In 2020, in the middle of the worldwide pandemic, Elvis, Joyce and their two sons, moved to Lisbon to start their church planting story. 

We are excited to announce that from September 2022 Niklas will be joining our team. Niklas originally comes from Germany. For the past couple of years, he has been part of Every Nation Gent in Belgium. He felt the call to serve at Every Nation Lisboa for a season and will help us to reach the students and make disciples on the campus of ULisboa.
